Erie, PA – MedNet Resources, Inc was a proud sponsor of the 95th Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society, which took place on Saturday October 9th.

Robert P Powell (Executive Director) and Phyllis Smith of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society hosted a wonderful event attended by almost 100 radiologists from across the State.

Dr David Levin and Dr Vijay Rao caused quite a stir with their discussions surrounding teleradiology practices and utilization management, respectively. These are certainly controversial issues that radiologists encounter more and more frequently as technology and medicine advance simultaneously at an alarming rate.

Like so many discussions surrounding the role of technology in science, whilst on the one hand it is certainly beneficial to society to have these technological advances, they do not come without a certain cost to society, or individuals, either.

Other speakers that day included Melvin Deutsch, MD. FACR (President of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society), James H Thrall, MD FACR (President of the ACR), Joel Greenberger, MD (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center), Timothy V Myers, MD, Eric Faerber MD, FACR (Professor, Pediatrics Dept., Radiology, Drexel University College of Medicine), Timothy Farrell, MD, FACR, and an honored lecture at the President's Banquet on Saturday evening by Bernard Fisher MD.

It was a wonderful event for all those who attended and Mednet were honored to be able to meet with so many radiologists from the Pennsylvania area. We look forward to being a sponsor at next year's meeting and hopefully connecting with even more radiologists in the area.
